INSTITUTE AS PART OF CROATIAN ECONOMIC DELEGATION IN TURKMENISTAN
Agricultural Institute Osijek, their quality and knowledge, once again recognized in the circle of high ranking Croatian, both domestic and foreign officials. The Institute was invited by the Office of the Croatian President at the presentation of his business visit to Turkmenistan in the framework as one of the representatives of the Croatian business delegation.
At the invitation of President of Turkmenistan, Gurbangulija Berdimuhamedova, on 23.07.2009. The Delegation of the Croatian companies traveled to Turkmenistan and the president of Turkmenistan Berdymuhamedova agreement and of Croatian President Stjepan Mesic of the need to intensify economic relations between the two countries reached during the official visit President turkmenistanskog Croatia three weeks ago.
Since two of the President put a special emphasis on the possibility of increasing trade exchange and the participation of Croatian companies in infrastructure projects important for Turkmenistan, economic delegation consisting of companies that have expressed interest in the project of building energy and tourism infrastructure, shipbuilding, telecommunications and information technology, and food and pharmaceutical industry.
Dr.sc. Ivan Brkic, representative of Agricultural Institute Osijek, Senior Scientist, Head of the Department for Breeding and Genetics of Maize, confirmed the hospitality and the possible significant effect of direct talks and business meetings with a host in Ašhabad.
The Inner Circle of the Croatian delegation led by Head of Delegation - Mrs. Helena Kasanic from the Office of the President, Assistant Advisor for the economy, also present was Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey (covering Azerbaijani Rep., The Republic of Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyz Republic and Turkmenistan, based in Ankara),Mr. Gordan Bakota, B.Sc. and Mrs.Vesna Trnokop Tanta, vice-president of Croatian Chamber of Commerce, received the President of Turkmenistan GM Berdymuhamedov.
Among other Turkmenistan officials, hospitality they showed: Vice-President of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan - Mr. Džaparov T., H. Mohammed, N.Šagulyev, M. Akmammedov (from the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Management), B. Hodžamuhammedov (Ministry of Oil and Gas), H. Saparlyev, D. Orazov. (Ministry of Construction), and many ministers - Minister of Economy and Development of Turkmenistan, B. Hodžammamedov, Minister of trade and foreign economic relations of Turkmenistan, N. Atagulyev, Minister of Agriculture of Turkmenistan, E. Orazgeljdyev ... etc
