The Scientific Board of the Institute serves as an advisory body to the Scientific Council.
It consists of seven members elected by the Scientific Council from among the Institute’s scientific staff. Members are appointed for a term of four years. The President and Deputy President are elected by the members of the Board from among themselves for a term of two years.
The Scientific Board deliberates on matters within the competence of the Scientific Council and provides opinions and proposals regarding these and other issues relevant to the promotion of quality, efficiency, and the development of the Institute’s scientific activities.
Opinions and proposals of the Scientific Board are adopted by a majority vote and submitted in writing to the Scientific Council as recommendations. These are advisory in nature and not binding upon the Council.
