Greenhouse gases significantly affect global warming, and the agricultural sector contributes more than 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, it is necessary to encourage and develop activities that will contribute to mitigating the consequences of climate change. The “Development of Carbon Farming in the Central Europe” project will contribute to climate neutrality by introducing and adopting carbon sequestration techniques, business models, monitoring solutions and policies for storing atmospheric carbon as soil organic carbon (SOC). During the implementation of the project, six carbon sequestration techniques and five business models will be tested in nine Central European countries, and a transnational guide will be developed for the implementation of carbon sequestration techniques in the business of 45 agricultural producers. Earlier mentioned project activities will result in an increased role of the agricultural sector in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and will contribute to the climate neutrality of Central Europe.
