On Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Zagreb, assistant/PhD student Ivana Plavšin successfully defended her dissertation entitled “Genomic selection for wheat grain quality traits” and awarded the academic degree of the Doctor of Science in the scientific area of Biotechnical Sciences, the scientific field Agriculture, the scientific branch Genetics and Breeding of Plants. The doctoral thesis was written within the scope of the project KK.01.1.1.01.0005 “Biodiversity and molecular plant breeding” of the Center of Excellence for Biodiversity and Molecular Plant Breeding (CoE CroP-BioDiv) under the supervision of Prof. Jerko Gunjača, PhD, and Dario Novoselović, PhD. With the successful defense of the doctoral dissertation of Ivana Plavšin, mag.biol. and mag.ing.agr., the Agricultural Institute Osijek – the Department for Breeding and Genetics of Small Grain Cereals has become richer for another PhD!
